Characteristic and use

Harar coffee is typically produced from the Coffea Arabica plant and is grown at high altitudes, typically between 1,500 and 2,000 meters above sea level. The coffee plants are grown in fertile soil and are shaded by trees, which helps to protect the plants from the sun and provides a natural habitat for native birds and other wildlife.

Harar coffee is typically processed using the dry processing method, also known as the natural method, in which the coffee cherries are spread out in the sun to dry, allowing the fruit to ferment and impart its unique flavor to the beans. The dried cherries are then removed, and the remaining beans are sorted and packaged for export.
